Waterproof digital cameras are a fun toy to have with you in a holiday as it allows you to shoot underwater and are generally stronger built that other compacts so it’s less of a worry. The Pentax Optio W80 is an interesting model as it feature a 5x wide angle zoom (fisheye comes to my mind now) and a powerful 12.1 megapixel sensor.
A Triple Shake Reduction makes sure images are crisp clear even if you hand shake during taking of the picture. The Pentax Optio W80 is also coldproof design which endures sub-freezing temperatures of 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Images can be previewed on a 2.5 inch LCD screen and even captured movies at 720p resolution. Everything is stored on SD/SDHC flash cards, not included in the package of the Optio W80.
